Fanatics and Max Verstappen have announced an exclusive multi-year global partnership. While the commercial scope of the deal is broad, its implications for the memorabilia and collectibles market are particularly noteworthy.
From 2026 onwards, Fanatics Commerce will operate a new official webshop on Verstappen.com. The company will be responsible for the design, production, and global distribution of officially licensed Verstappen merchandise, including apparel, headwear, accessories, and limited-edition releases.
As part of this transition, the physical Verstappen store in Swalmen, The Netherlands will close next year.
A one-of-one trading card marking a Formula 1 milestone
To mark the start of the partnership, Fanatics Collectibles has released a unique one-of-one Max Verstappen trading card in the F1 Eccellenza 2025 collection. The card commemorates Verstappen’s record-setting lap at Monza – the fastest average lap ever recorded in Formula 1.
The card includes an authenticated piece of the race suit worn by Verstappen during that historic session. Only a single copy has been produced, placing it firmly in the highest tier of modern Formula 1 collectibles.

Fanatics has indicated that additional trading cards will follow in the future, including signed cards and cards featuring race-used materials. Whether this partnership will also extend into a dedicated line of signed memorabilia has not yet been confirmed.
Fanatics and the upper end of the F1 collectibles market
Verstappen is not the first Formula 1 driver to align himself with Fanatics. Earlier this year, Lewis Hamilton announced a similar partnership, although his agreement was limited to Fanatics Collectibles rather than a broader commercial collaboration.
Hamilton currently holds the record for the most expensive Formula 1 trading card ever sold, with one card exceeding the one-million-dollar mark at auction last year. Verstappen’s highest recorded trading card sale dates back to 2022, when a card sold for just over half a million dollars.
